Suds and Lather: Never Use Baby Shampoo on a Dog

   Only use dog shampoo when bathing your dog. The pH balance in shampoo for humans is different than that found in dog shampoos. Frequent bathing isn’t what dries out a dog’s skin or fur, it’s from using the wrong kind of shampoo.
