Your hands are your first line of defense against cancer and parasites. Run your hands all over your dog’s body every day – depending on where you live and the environment around you, it’s a good opportunity to check for ticks, but also to feel for any growths or bumps that your vet should examine.

    Thanks for the great advice!
Since dogs often hide illness, it’s important to feel for abnormalities on their bodies.
We discovered a lump on the side of our 2 year old Lab and whisked him to the vet right away. Unfortunately, it turned out to be bone cancer, but we were able to get him on pain medication and make him comfortable for a while until he went over the rainbow.
Check your dogs often..plus, they love a good massage now and again!
