Dog Tips

If you have more than one dog, there’s nothing wrong with bringing all of them along even if only one of them has an appointment with the vet. There are two reasons for this: the first is that the dog that is the patient will appreciate the moral support of his or her four-legged family members. The second reason is that for the other dog(s), not being the patient will make future trips to the vet much less intimidating. The next journey to the vet’s office will be just a visit to a place with interesting smells.

I have actually done this! Brought three dogs when only one needed to see the vet – I admit it was a bit tricky – but they all wanted to go “bye-bye” in the car and I think it was really good because not all of them had nerves about being there – so it worked out (except for my clothes/car – dog hair wise – but this is nothing new!)
