The Daily Dog Tip

In our experience, they work great. There are many different vendors that sell them on the market like Laube, Furminator, and Bamboo. We only have first hand experience with the Furminator and have found it to do a great job at removing the undercoat layer of hair that is ready to come off! This helps to keep your dog cooler in the summer months by removing unnecessary hair and is also helpful in reducing the amount of shedding from your pups. These tools seem to last forever so it is commonly a one time purchase that is in our opinion a no-brainer. Most of these companies also offer de-shedding treats and shampoo solutions that enhance the ability of their tools to perform.

Totally agree! I have a husky/akita mix who sheds all year round. She loves her furminator sessions — I guess it feels good to get rid of all that hair and it doesn’t pull too hard in her sensitive areas like some previous raking tools we’ve tried. It also pulls the hair into easy to clean up bunches instead of scattering stray hairs to the wind.

I have an Airedale & purchased the fuzzinator from pet shop, TV shopping channel. Since Airedales r traditionally supposed to be “hand stripped” rather than groomed as most shops do; I decided to use this. It works great! After a bath (no small chore @ 55lbs!) when I get into tub with him, I trimmed head, beard, ears; then went outside – 1st effort yielded 2 large brown paper bags of dead hair! Still working – Gen. Neyland, is after all the King of Terriers & we all know how very cooperative a terrier can be! Highly recommend product.

I have 2 small shih tzu and use the ferminator on them. We love it. They look forward to getting that under coat removed and that means less vacum work for me around the house.

I have a pembroke corgi who has very thick fur and sheds year round. I wouldn’t know what to do without the furminator. It works wonders. She loves it too and will sit for the whole session. I also have a rough coated JRT which has to be hand stripped twice a year to get out the rough fur. The furminator works great for this too and she loves it. The furminator was the best tool I have bought. Well worth the money.

Having a 100 lb lab mix and a 80 lb black…OMG! The hair it was everywhere. We kept hearing about Dinovite and frankly, thought it was “snake oil” but their 180 day return policy pulled us in. IT WORKS! We were stunned. We’ve used different “shedding” combs and devices but nothing has completely ended it like Dinovite!
