Dog Tips

Firmly attach an accurate, up-to-date ID tag to your pet’s collar. Just like you are excited to be a social butterfly this summer, so is your pet!

Unfortunately, traveling and entertaining with your pet increases your chances of being separated from them.

For added peace of mind, consider getting your pet microchipped as well – this is like an embedded ID card. Microchips provide extra assurance in case the tag falls off. If your dog is lost, the vet or animal shelter can scan the microchip so your lost then found hound is safely and quickly returned home to you.

Don’t forget,if you do get your dogs (or cats) microchipped make sure you get them registered with the company database ( most places this is included but not always). If the chip isn’t register sometimes lost pets can be reunited with their owners but this is time consuming and not reliable.
