Dogs are by their very nature social butterflies and love a good meet, sniff & playtime. By exposing your dog to variety of people, other animals, sights, and sounds at a young age they are less likely to be fearful of new experiences as they grow older. Every dog owner dreams of having a well-rounded fur companion and socializing does just that. Take your dog on car rides to fun places at an early age, so he doesn’t learn to associate a car ride with a trip to the vet!

I got my precious dog, Amy, from a rescue group at approx. 3 years of age. She had never been socialized. I have tried everything for the last 14 years to entice her to socialize with other dogs and people. She turns every meet-and-greet with other dogs into an instant full-out battle. She has been banned from our local dog park. To make matters worse, she despises riding in the car and screams from the minute she sees the car to the time our trip ends. So now, we simply stay home and only go somewhere in the car when absolutely necessary (like the vet). When other dogs approach our property, she lets them know on no uncertain terms, they are not welcome.
