The Daily Dog Tip

Many of us take our dogs with us when hiking or other extended outdoor activities. In addition to fresh water, dogs on an outdoor journey need to be nourished. But be careful when sharing your treats with your pooch. Although common in the trail mix that we may eat, both raisins and chocolate can be very dangerous to our pets. Plan ahead by bringing along foods that are safe and nutritious for hard-working dogs. Peanut Butter treats provide a high amount of energy and are considered to be irresistible to most dogs. K9 Granola Factory has taken things one step further and they offer all-natural granola treats loaded with carob, honey, and peanut butter. You can also make your own high-energy dog snack foods including peanut butter covered apple chunks.

The very best treats to take on a hike or any where you take your dog is: Stella and Chewy’s raw dehydrated carnivore cruches or S & C dehydrated freeze dried meat kisses. Look for them in speciality stores that carry a Raw
    diet for dog’s and cat’s.

You won’t be sorry. Some people that work at shelters use these treats exclusively for dogs that are very timid and nervous.

    Hi,

I am so glad that my dogs can also have peanut butter and it is good for them because I LOVE IT I LOVE IT. I can eat it out of the jar by the spoon full.

I also came across a few other healthy delicious recipes for our animals that i share below.

I just wanted to note that it is completely unnecessary and somewhat harmful to give your dog anything with sugar in it. That means that, in my opinion, you should opt for treats without honey, molasses, or sweetened peanut butter. If you feed your dog peanut butter on occasion, you should use the all natural, unsweetened variety. My dog loves it.
