The Daily Dog Tip

July 13th, 2011

When flying alongside you in the cabin, your dog might become thirsty in his carrier. Giving water during the first few hours of a flight can be risky, but nobody is comfortable when thirsty. The flight attendant will bring you ice cubes, which your dog can lick to stave off thirst. Usually just two cubes solve thirst problems and assure a happy flight for all involved. And yes, your dog may have a lap or two of water during the last half hour, just in time for his off-plane potty break.
