Go organic to fertilize your lawn and ditch those nasty chemicals to get a great result next in the spring — and a healthier, safer lawn for you and your dog.

Now is the time to get your lawn ready for the upcoming harsh winter months. This year, try fertilizing your lawn with an easy-to-use, quick-acting fish emulsion. Made from by-products of the fish industry, it’s organic, healthy, and safe for your dog. Just add to a hose-end sprayer and spray your entire lawn and garden. It’s safe for all plants — even the ones you eat!

Also–compost your yard waste in a regular compost bin or your food waste in a worm bin, and apply that to your lawn. Nothing like keeping the nutrients that came from your house and yard in your own back yard.

I was wondering if you had a recipe for an organic weed killer to be sprayed on grass for winter…something that won’t hurt my pets,,,cats and one dog…

What catches my attention here in this blog is that the fertilizer is safe for my dog. I have a pet dog and in the past I was always worried every time I used fertilizers that she would play in it and get intoxicated by it. Now after reading this I am happy to know that I can take care of my garden and at the same time my dog is safe.
