We have had a lot of requests to add these categories to the dog profile page and that doesn’t surprise us at all. All dogs have tons of love to give and get! It doesn’t matter if they are handicapped, deaf, blind or a service dog. In fact, these dogs and their families are so full of love. Their stories are always very touching to read and now it will be easier to stroll through these special pet pages.
If your dog fits one of these categories make sure to update your dog’s profile. Go to ‘My Account‘ then ‘edit any info for -Your Pet’s Name-’.
We have had a lot of request for a lot of special party strolls but we have just been so busy! Well with Mother’s Day right around the corner we just had to make some time because no one loves their mothers more than dogs!

Well I just spent the last hour exploring. They seem to have a really cool and inexpensive selection of items and gifts. So lets hear a resounding Hooowwwwl, nock over some things with our exited tails and welcome Target to the Dogster advertising family.
Btw: my favorite item so far is the Red Velvet Dog Jacket - its $38 and I need it because you never know when that next impromptu dinner party might happen.

We are so happy to announce that Dogster now has forums. We built these forums from the ground up to make sure they have all the friendly features that we all have come to know and love from Dogster. Now every dog has a voice or a bark rather. It is the perfect place to ask the community for advice, give someone a helping or share a story. All the droopy ears, perked ears, pointed ears, furry ears will be listening!
We are only starting with one topic area, ?What I Love About Dogster?, while we make sure everything is working well. Feel free to create a discussion thread in this topic or add your two barks to an existing thread. In a few days we will open it up to a bunch of topics (you can suggest a topic area here.

The very best part we feel of being nominated for a Webby Award this year is reading the reviews the voters are leaving being on the Webby Award site. Really it means a lot to us to see such an outburst. I say ‘outburst’ because most other sites have 2 or 3 reviews left behind. Others have 30 or 40, but none has more than Dogster at 87 and counting.
To share the puppy love we posted the reviews on our site for everyone to enjoy.

Roooooo! Dogster has been nomiated for yet another Community website award. This time it is the Webby Awards, the Oscars of the internet. This is really a big deal and we can hardly believe the honor. This time there is also a People’s Voice Award but we are only competing against 4 other sites, this time, not 80. vote here. One vote per person. Once logged in, there is even a real-time chart to show how we are doing compared to the other 4. But please don’t dally, voting ends April 29th.
Not a day goes by that I don’t look at the People’s Choice Award from South By Southwest and think how lucky we are to have the best community on the internet. Now we can show them on the biggest internet stage there is! If you’ve ever wondered what you can do to help us, or if you help us everday by loving the site but have a little love to share, we’d love it if you cast your vote. An award like this could really help us secure our long-term existence.

We a purring with joy and barking like mad! Why? Because Dogster & Catster collectively surpassed 100k pets last Friday (April 8th). That’s right, one-hundred thousand super-cute doggies and kitties have made their own pet pages with over 400k photos, bios, pals, diaries and more. The one-hundred thousandth pet was a doggy, Scout, and the first kitty in six digits was Beauty.
The love, kindness and, most of all, passion in this community is truly heart-warming. Cheers to you all, 100k!
Whew, whoever thinks making a nifty t-shirt is an easy thing to do is not working with us. I suppose we’re perfectionists and we’re not going to just slap a logo on a t-shirt or do something boring like sell a white shirt, but good golly miss molly designing a t-shirts can take longer than launching a new feature!
Fortunately these new Catster shirts are great. They are both green on green with the Catster logo on front and our tagline “Here Kitty Kitty!” and url on the back. The men’s are a lime green with medium green ink and the women’s are olive with a lighter green ink.
In related news Dogster T-shirt sizes have been replenished and we’re hoping to be releasing a bandana very soon and if our stamina holds out, dog shirts after that!
