As your article said, the man has served his time. Let it go already! We cannot blame this man for every dogfighting ring in the us anymore than we can blame you for all the hatred in the world. I really feel that he has learned his lesson. He is a great ball player. If it was you, how long do you think we should punish you? For those of us who believe in the true and living God, we ask Him all the time for forgiveness. Why can’t we do the same thing for Vick? Well, on my behalf, I refuse to go to hell for holding a grudge for a man I do not even know personally. Since he has done his time, let’s all just focus on finding other dogfighting rings and shutting them down.

He WILL NEVER HAVE DONE ENOUGH TIME. I think it would serve him right to be eaten by dogs, and I won’t burn in hell for it. He is a piece of crap, who cares if he can play ball. I hope someone throws rotten tomatoes into his helmet, but I bet they do more than that. I’m not even in PETA………..and they are ACTIVISTS, just wait.

To Lisa, above. How many dogs did he watch get torn apart during fights. How much cruelty did he inflict on dogs from the moment they were born to the moment they died. How many dogs did he “despatch” by his own hand. You can bash your bible elsewhere. He did not do his time.

Sorry to make all that money at a game and put all those dogs in such torture. His dogs are still out being fought by others and they are not all accounted for!!!

it’s all a con-and lets see those who have compassion for him stick up for him when they find out he fed their little pets to the dogs he was beating to be killers

Ignorance shows, especially when they spout that crap “he served his time”

Get to the children about cruelty.Take your dog to get therapy certification and go see the kids in school. Everything that goes around comes around. I have seen it happen many many times. Vic has not finished being punished. He is beyond our help but we must help the animals. He will get his sooner or later. It always happens.

this “man” has not changed anything but his face to the public. Anyone who could kill another creature in such sadistic and various ways-through electrocution, drowning, bashing, etc, .because they lost a dogfight has not got one redeeming quality. He is nothing but a sadistic monster. He’s just playing the tune he’s forced to in order to get back into hurting others.

I’m not going to slam you personaly, but what if he assulted a child? Would his time served been good for you? What if it had been your daughter? How about one of your pets knowing it died like that? He makes a great deal of money and if he’s truely sorry for his actions he should donate 25% of his income to help find more rings and since he clearly would have names, give them up. Cruil acts are cruil acts no mater what life it’s forced upon.

    An Eye for an Eye

Look deep into the eyes of the photo of him – I see evil and nothing else.

I have read many comments on this issue since it was first known of Michael Vick’s crimes. I am still very angry, maybe to some, hateful, unforgiving and wasting my energy making this post.

I belong to and donate to two animal organization every month. The ASPCA and HSUS. They both covered the issue of Dog Fighting and Michael Vick with well informed information. I signed petitions, e-mailed, called, wrote letters.

Please, let my heart and mind try to speak for all those who do not have a voice. They speak in ruffs, woofs, meows, cries and whimpers.

Michael Vick and any future Dog Fighting participant sentence is as follows:

Would repeatedly be tortured day in and day out fearing for life. But, still alive.

Held under water repeatedly until the last living breath hoping to die. But, still alive.

Strapped to a rape stand repeatedly raped wishing to die. But, still alive.

Electrocuted repeatedly begging to die. But, still alive.

Just when they say, “But I am still alive…”

They are forced into a cage with every dog they trained to fight and let each of those dogs have their own kind of “Justice”!

And when the dogs have debilitated, multilated and finally kill the murdering bastards, let the next murderer step into the ring and face what they have created.

The same goes for all killers, rapists (name your crime here). Whatever you intentionally did to person or animal, the same is done to you, in the same exact manner.

If society adopted this form of punishment (please do not even think to tell me it is inhumane) our jails would be empty. Our crime rates down to a single digit percentage.

Most importantly, people may think twice before they commit such acts of cruelity, whether it be to an animal or person.

Enough already! No one needs to educate, hold a seminar, or boycott an organization. Why?

Because these people KNOW what the hell they are doing and just DO NOT care, NEVER have, NEVER will.

The punishment must be as terrible as the crime and as society, we say “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!”

Until then we will go to OUR graves knowing that tomorrow will only bring another heart wrenching story about another innocent life of a beloved family member, whether they be of the humankind or furrykind was taken viciously away… again…. :o (

OAKLAND, Calif. – A Bay Area pit bull advocacy group says Michael Vick has declined an invitation to visit eight of his former dogs this weekend when the Philadelphia Eagles are in town to play the Oakland Raiders.

The group BAD RAP (Bay Area Doglovers Responsible About Pitbulls) told The Associated Press on Wednesday that it extended the invitation through the Eagles to Vick last week to view his former dogs that were part of the dog fighting operation at Bad Newz Kennels in southeastern Virginia.

BAD RAP co-founder Tim Racer said the group picked a location that would have allowed Vick to view the dogs from behind a window at a distance that satisfied the conditions of his parole that bar him from being near animals.

Racer said the Eagles informed him Wednesday that Vick would decline the offer. An e-mail sent to an Eagles spokesman was not immediately returned.

“We understand Vick is trying to right his wrongs and is very interested in redemption, but you can’t find redemption without acknowledging your victims,” Racer said. “Making amends to the dogs themselves would have helped to create some closure for many of us, especially those people who worked so hard to keep them from being destroyed. It seems that Vick is not ready to go there.”

Oakland-based BAD RAP absorbed 10 of Vick’s dogs into its foster program after being given permission from the federal government to evaluate and rescue as many of the dogs as possible.

Sunday’s game against the Raiders is the first road game for Vick since being reinstated to the NFL following an 18-month prison sentence for his involvement in a dogfighting ring. A spokesman for the animal rights group, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, said it has no plans to protest the game.

Now let’s here again how he is so sorry! He could not care less about what he has done!

Yes, Michael Vick served his time. Yet he is the most cruel individual I could ever imagine. Those of you defending him should be ashamed. Let’s say he took your dogs and beat them, then electrocuted or drowned them- or simply slammed them into concrete until dead. Then he laughs about it and goes about his life. Screw those of you that think he deserves a second chance because he can play football. He deserves to spend the rest of his life working in an animal shelter. He deserves to clean the crap of those he hurt the most.

Lisa, he will never serve enough time for torturing dogs, do you know what he and his demon friends did? They cut the lips off the dogs so they could not tear during fights, the tied females to rape racks after they pulled their teeth so they could not defend theirselves, they used dogs that did’nt fight for bait dogs, ones that tore them to death, they broke off their tails and ears and tortured them to make them mean, when they did’nt fight they hung them, drowned them and electrocuted them. Mr. Vick has and never will serve time, the only other person that compares to him is Hilter….if Vick could of…..he would of killed 6,000 dogs for fun…..you can forgive…..some of us will not….
