Dr. Barchus, I am terribly interested in your response regarding Tailer’s addiction! I am the owner of an ‘addict’ as well. It has reached the point that neither my husband nor I can enter the vicinity of our kitchen, without our cat herding us along with vocal demands, to the treat cabinet. His name is Cisco Kitty. If he learns to wear a cowboy hat and ride a horse, no treats will be safe!!

Sophie’s treats are limited to one CET dental cat treat a day.

I would be concerned If I were you. Of course your cat is addicted to these treats, just look at the ingredients, and how dry kibble or treats are made. They are usually sprayed with Animal digests, otherwise your cat would not be so addicted to them. They are like candy, or junk food to humans. Just because they love them does not mean that its good for them, and is not a nutritonal balanced meal. Check out this link

I would try weaning your cat off these junky treats and opt more for healthier treats that are more protein enriched, you can find jerky treats, like Wellness, or Halo, etc. Just make sure the first 3 ingredients include a named meat, such as Turkey, or Chicken,or Beef.
