Can Kittens Survive With Broken Tails?
We found a tiny stray kitten at our house
yesterday. It has a broken tail in several places.
It seems to have already healed. Will the kitten
have to have its tail removed or will be okay just
with a tail that healed wrong?

Kinked or broken tails are very common in cats and kittens. The tail may be traumatized during the birthing process. Myriad injuries are possible after birth as well.
Broken tails almost never require treatment. The kinks (which usually are a form of joint luxation rather than true fractures) generally are permanent. They cannot be fixed. But they generally do not cause pain or affect quality of life in any way.
If your kitten’s tail is not painful, then it shouldn’t be a cause for concern. However, I’d recommend that you get him or her to the vet for deworming, vaccines, and FIV and FeLV testing.

You have questions.
I has a stumpy tail- it just grew that way, and I is ok. You should look up the crazy tails winners- Skeezix has an interview and everything. Crazy tails is special. No needs to worry at all.
i was found with a broken tail that had healed. My tail is short and crooked. That’s the way i was found in the dumpster. But I all good. :)
I have a shortened tail as well. Momma believes that as some time I was injured and lost part of my tail. Right at the very end, the bone is almost hooked. But I’m almost 5 years old now and have no problems.
I has a stub tail that is crooked half way up. My mum says I look like I have a bunny tail. We have no idea how it happened, but mum thinks it is cue on me and makes me special.
I have a very big kink in my tail, though I’m a long fur so it just looks I’m always really happy. Mommy says it makes me look really unique.
I had a kink at the end of my tail, which never bothered me. Several people told my mom that it is somewhat common in Siamese cats. I was a black kitty with Siamese in me, and I had the talk to prove it!
