I am extremely upset after reading the letter regarding meth fumes and cats. If you want to know what meth fumes can do to someone, read the book called "Methland" which had a front page review in the New York Times Book Review early this summer. Read the book and weep because whether this cat is living in a meth lab or is living in a home with people who are smoking meth this cat needs to be removed immediately to a safe place. And if there are any children at home they are also at risk.

That cat is not only inhaling meth fumes but licking them off her fur and feet, her food and water. Meth fumes are "sticky" and literally stick to all surfaces and permanently pollute and poison a cooker, a smoker, a home, a child, a pet.

This poor soul must be removed to a place of safety and must then be seen by a veterinary medical oncologist. The people who care for this Maine Coon must think of her life even if they refuse to care for their own. They must tell the vet the truth.
