Pseudomonas bacteriae cause “frito feet”? Dang, just always thought it was ’cause dogs are so toasty warm and fun. LOL Interesting that so many folks “participate” in the aroma.

Haha another corn smelling footed dog here, though not as strong as some seem to be. They are pretty fresh and grassy smelling mostly.

It’s weird that they smell at all since they are so frre and open. Unlike what one person said earlier, I think that if humans walked barefoot all the time our feet would stink less, not more, since they wouldn’t be as confined in dark damp shoes all day. We’d have less other foot problems too. (Just google ‘barefoot’ if this concept interests you). And who doesn’t love running barefoot through the grass? Dogs have got it made! They get yummy-smelling paws!

My beagle always smells like Fritos after his naps, but I had no idea it was his feet that smelled like this, not that I have confirmed that it is, but the wafting smell of Fritos always surrounds him after a good sleep. It doesn’t bother me, but I was curious what it was. Never even contemplated it being bacteria!

Well for those of you that love to smell your dogs feet…I think you have way too much time on your hands. The Frito feet smell is nasty and there should be a natural spray to use to kill this fungus. After a $50 Petsmart visit as beautiful as my POM looked-she still had corn chip feet. I tried baby wiped and everything but the scent still remains.

I am so glad to here that ohers have this afflicion wih smelling thier dogs feet !! I have on occassion mentioned it in public and people think i am NUTS,even my own family !!! I get caught on occasion “smelling” my doberman and chihuahua’s paws !! delightful !!!

My dog Sunny’s two front paws smell much stronger than the back one’s; thus I sniff just the front two. Love those frito feets!!!!! :o)

I like the smell too! I associate it more with popcorn, although, they do smell like fritos.
