Someone E-mailed me a couple of pictures of great but overweight dogs and the caption said "if your dog is overweight, you're not getting enough exercise!'

I STARTED MY AUSTRALIAN CATTLE DOG ON A DIET THAT HAS BEEN VERY SUCCESSFUL. HE IS FED TWICE A DAY. HE GETS 1/2 CUP OF DRY WEIGHT MANAGEMENT FOOD MIXED WITH A HANDFUL OF GREEN BEANS AND A HEAPING SPOONFUL OF 100% PURE PUMPKIN. HE LOVES IT AND IS SHEDDING OFF THOSE POUNDS!!!

I rescued a ten year old beagle who weighed 56 pounds -- yes, a 56 pound purebred 15 inch beagle!!!!

Lots of wlaks, short at first, decreased dog food, and she is down to 42 pounds and dancing on her hind legs! It takes commitment on the part of the owner, but doesn't owning a beagle make for a special and worthwhile commitment?
